3 Ways to Decorate Your Home for the Summer

by Ashlie DuCros

Are you decorating for summer yet?

If you love to change up the decor to reflect the season but don’t like redecorating a whole room to make those changes, then here are 3 tips for you from Stone Gable Blog. These are easy ways to create a spectacular summer inspired room without breaking the bank or stressing out.

Choose Easy Breezy Summer Fabrics

The best way to bring fabulous summery colors and patterns into a room is with pillows. Go for fun patterns and summery stripes! Opt for cotton, linen, flax or gain sack type fabrics. Put away heavy brocades, velvet and pillows with heavy fringes.

Put it in a Basket

Baskets are a great way to contain vignettes and they give a room texture without feeling heavy. Choose a basket that does not look too dark or one that is visually heavy. Look for a basket that has an airy feel. You can also use baskets to organize and stow away things like books, extra pillows, and magazines.

Put Sheer Curtains on Your Windows

Adding updated sheer curtains to windows makes them look almost luminous! It's such a pretty and easy way to bring summer into a room. Consider hanging classic sheers in a room you want to lighten up!

Sell NOW Before Competition Hits the Market

by Ashlie DuCros

In the recent Home Price Expectation Survey released last week, Pulsenomics asked 100+ economists, real estate experts and investment & market strategists this question:

“In your opinion, what is the primary driver of recent home value growth in the U.S.?”

Here are the top four reasons given by those surveyed:

As we have stated before, this means that this is a great time to sell your home as supply is low and demand is high.
But the seller's advantage won't last for long.
As more homeowners realize their equity situation has dramatically improved over the last four years, they will be more likely to put their homes on the market. So don’t wait for additional competition to hit the market. If you are considering selling your house, now may be the time. Call me to discuss your real estate goals!
